Mrs Garay presents to form classes to outline the transition process and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Sixth form Open evening

All pupils have the opportunity to find out about our courses, entry requirements, assessment methods, as well as general aspects of Sixth Form life.
Y11 complete a Teams form to indicate intended destinations
16th December
All pupils complete a form to signpost where information, advice and guidance should be directed. Initial information gathered by the 6th form team.

15th February Students have access to employers, education and training providers to ensure they are aware of all options at all levels and recognise that good qualifications mean more choice in the labour market.
Lesson taster sessions

All pupils experience an advanced lesson in each subject to understand course progression.
College information session

Identified pupils attend a session with Newcastle College to identify opportunities available. Mrs Garay presents the other providers such as Gateshead & Tyne Met.
NCS recruitment assembly

NCS deliver a presentation to Y11 about their summer programme.
Lunchtime 6th form seminars March & April Pupils are invited to a series of subject-based seminars, delivered by 6th form students on choosing subjects relating to future career aspirations.

Thursday 24th August Pupils sign up for Sixth form appointments to confirm course choices. Career coaches from Northern Directions attend to support those who need it.
