Remembering September 11th
The September eleven attacks occurred in September 11, 2001often shortened to just 9/11. The 9-11 tragedy was a coordinated terrorist attack conducted by Al-Qaeda. The nineteen terrorist hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners with the intent of crashing them into important buildings on the morning of September eleventh. Two of hijacked airliners crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City killing everyone on board and many others working in the building. Two hours later the two buildings collapsed destroying at least two buildings around it. The hijackers crashed the third plane into the Pentagon. The fourth and last plane crashed into a field near Shanks Ville, Pennsylvania after passengers took control of the plane. There are no known survivors from any of the flights.
