Dear Parents and Guardians,
Religious Theme
Lent: Repentance
Nuts. For the Easter Hampers, if you are kindly handing in nuts, teachers will be keeping an eye out in order that they are separated from the main hamper collection, making sure that they are included at a later point Otherwise, please think, ‘CBB+’ - chocolate, biscuits, booze plus(+) whatever else you may like to donate to your class hamper Please also do consider the letter of earlier this week, noting our Friends PTA request Anyone coming in to offer help will not be left alone and will be given support so, if there is doubt, there is no need to doubt – come on in!
We have had a mini outbreak of (most likely) covid this week with an unusually high number of staff out, some of them having tested positive We have a strong team and good resources to enable continuity but some parents will have noted an impact over this week. By the beginning/middle of next week, we should be back to full power but, although testing appears to be discouraged slightly by the powers that be, if you note symptoms associated, including a high temperature, please don’t send your child in For children, following a positive test, the guidance is three days out For adults, five
Despite some difficulties, we continue to commit ourselves with considered effort and diligence It is joyous to note that the first lamb of Edmundia was born on Monday Monty, pictured here, clearly also has his work cut out on the farm in the mornings with his first lambs coming into the world too God bless him and farmers everywhere over the next few weeks and months Our children in the Prep will be beginning to look forward to the visit to our own farm here at St Edmund’s and, with the frost-covered hills, clear blue sky and sunshine this morning, there continues to be real grounds for optimism.
Yours sincerely,
Mr S Cartwright Headmaster, St Edmund’s Prep
