Science Teacher

Principal, Mr Mark Bonnici invites suitably qualified and experienced teachers to indicate their interest and willingness to fulfil this position.
The successful candidate will be an innovative practitioner with qualifications and experience in teaching Stage 4-6 subjects within the Science Key Learning Area.
Applicants must be innovative and have demonstrable ICT skills, be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the community and be willing to participate in the co-curricular life of the College. This is a permanent full-time position with some flexibility regarding the commencement date.

3. A Curriculum Vitae with two referees including current employer.
4. A statement addressing the essential requirements below (please limit your response to no more than four pages).
Essential Criteria
The position requires a person who:
• Has an affinity with and appreciation for the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice and the EREA Charter Touchstones.
• Demonstrates excellent knowledge and understanding of current NESA curriculum developments, especially as they relate to Science syllabus documents across Stages 4-6.
• Can demonstrate the necessary knowledge, experience and qualifications to teach one or more Stage 6 Science subjects including, Biology, Investigating Science, Physics or Chemistry.
• Demonstrates competence and confidence in the effective use of technologies to enhance student learning in a one-to-one device learning environment.
• Can demonstrate an excellent understanding of contemporary educational research, including current pedagogical approaches to enhance student learning.
• Demonstrates an ability to establish and maintain respectful positive relationships with students, staff and parents within the St Edward’s community.
• Ability and willingness to contribute to cocurricular activities.
Commencement Arrangement
Ideally the successful applicant will commence this permanent full-time position in January 2025. There is the possibility of flexibility to suit the successful candidate.
