sight of them, come on in to Salon Sora in Boca and we’ll make those nails look spectacular!! When you can’t make it into Salon Sora’s but want to look clean and fresh, the staff at Salon Sora has put together a step-by-step DIY instruction on how to give yourself a home mani-pedi that doesn’t take long and helps to keep you looking your best.

First you will need the following: Nail Polish Remover (Non-Acetone)

Cotton Balls and Q-Tips

Dish Soap

two small bowls for hands and one rectangle pan or dish

Nail File

Buffer

Callus Remover

Nail brush

Creamy Cuticle Remover

Step 1: Remove all your old nail polish using a cotton ball and nail polish remover.

If you have acrylic nails, you will want to use non-acetone, so you do not damage the acrylics. Use Q-tips dipped in nail polish remover and removed any extra polish

that’s close to the cuticles. Step 2: Fill the small bowls and a rubber or plastic container for your feet with hot soapy water. You don’t need a large amount of soap, but you want it to be as hot as you can stand it. Step 3: File your nails and shorten with your nail clippers. Shape the nails for your preference. You want to do this before soaking because the nail will soften in the water, and this will prevent your nails from becoming weak and chipping.

Step 4: After you’ve filed and shaped the nails and toenails. Soak in the hot soapy water for up to 5 minutes

or until you’ve loosened any debris from the nail bed and around the cuticles. “Clean hands and feet are happy hands and feet.” Use the nail brush to loosen any dirt. Presoak after you scrub under the nails. Step 5: Use the Callus Remover and slough off the dead skin. You can also use a little microdermabrasion

cream and a pumice stone to exfoliate the older skin. Step 6: Apply creamy cuticle cream to both your nails and your toenails. Step 7: Take your Cuticle stick or Mani-Pedi Stick and remove any dirt or debris from your nails, toenails and cuticles. Step 8: Apply a little Vitamin E oil or cuticle oil to prevent having dry skin. Oil will also keep the nail from becoming brittle.

Step 9: Wash your hands with soap and water to get rid of the oil.

Step 10: Paint the toenails and nails with your favorite color then apply a quick-set top coat and let dry for about 5 minutes.
