Stefania Beltran Florez Interior Arquitecture

“As an architect, you design for the present, with an awareness of the past, for a future which is essentially unknown.” - Norman Foster

Interior arquitecture is a spacial art and discipline in which the knowledge of architecture, design and conservation are combined for the redesign or creation of spaces. The reason I felt attracted to this career is that it combines both aesthetic and function, among other aspects. It is inside the spaces where a great part of our lives takes place, and it is the interior designer’s job to optimize the relationship between the people and the space; so, one must be able to understand what the client wants and needs, with the objective of creating spaces that express sensations and are habitable. Since I was young, I had an interest in design and art, and the area that most appealed to me was interior design.

“When I’m working on a problem, I never think about the beauty... but, when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it’s wrong.” - Richard Buckminster Fuller

LEVEL 300

On the first floor we find the kitchen and the beer crafting area, as well as bathrooms for the clients.

On the second floor there’s the hotel lobby, the restaurant and a spa exclusive for the hotel’s guests.

Located on the third level are the rooms as well as a storage and laundry room.

This project includes a bar-lounge area where the customers can find craft beers made in the hotel by certified professionals. In order to increase the trust of the customers towards the product, some brewing machines can be observed from the lobby or through the elevator entrance.

Because the floor is white marble, some other materials and colors, such as wood and beige, were used in order to give warmth to the rooms. The color highlights were done using turquoise, due to the ocean being an inspiration reference and the project being located near it.
