One of the greatest advantages of travel is that it blurs the boundaries. Komono has always had a thirst for blurring the lines between the classic and the new, between design and fashion, between male and female, between minimalism and color, between accessories and lifestyle. For our Spring / Summer 2014 collection we have taken our journey further, choosing the road less traveled to discover new patterns, new shapes and textures to be inspired by. The legendary American author Cormac McCarthy was right when he said: “A thing of stone and flower and blood is not a thing at all but is a tale.” We are constantly discovering new and inspiring tales, even in the smallest details of what surrounds us. The wild beauty in the eye of a wolf, the humble strength of a scrap of leather, the softness of a teddy bear or the immeasurable depth of a clear blue ocean: they are all unique and they are all part of the same voyage. We haven’t arrived yet. We don’t plan to. We’ll keep on discovering. We’ve got boundaries to blur. Wanna dive in?

A new series that’s bound to ruffle a few feathers. Our trusted Wizard, Winston and Magnus designs are each assigned their very own totem wildlife creature: the wise and majestic owl, the wayward and awesome wolf and the elusive and energetic wild hare.

THE RECYCLED SERIES
For our new Recycled Wristband Series, the Magnus casings are fitted with a unique wristband made from discarded strips of genuine leather. The material is sourced from a variety of ateliers and factories specialized in leather goods around the world. Their abandoned scraps of raw material are given new life by crafting them into Komono wristbands. Because this isn’t a traditional process and no traditional stock is being used, each and every watch is a unique piece.
THE WINSTON GALORE
Why stick to the beaten path of a single, monotone design when you can explore new grounds by combining two of the most striking Komono designs in a single watch? The Winston Galore breaks with traditional accessory thinking patterns and uses two different designs for the top and bottom parts of the strap.
