The Regenerative Bioscience Center (RBC) at the University of Georgia links researchers and resources collaborating in a wide range of disciplines to develop new cures for devastating diseases. Regenerative medicine could offer new ways of treating diseases for which there are currently no treatments — including heart disease, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and stroke.
As an award-winning scientific group, the RBC has been published in Cell and Science, Nature Publishing, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. Collectively the leadership holds more than 1000 publications.
Today, under the direction of Dr. Steven Stice, D.W. Brooks Distinguished Professor and Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar, the RBC, through a translational approach to research, is significantly expanding the perspective of veterinarians, scientists and even clinicians, and eradicating the practice of researching in isolation.
