GALVESTON ISD K-12 PROJECT
PARKER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GYM
This project is located in Galveston, TX. The district was in search of a new elementary school gym for the community. The addition was developed based on location and educational needs. The striping floor plan was designed for numerous functions and events. Meetings with the end users took the design even further by developing a stage and vestibule. The vestibule was a critical element with connecting the existing and new; however, it was also critical to design it for security purposes. Overall, the new facility provided new opportunities for the district to host events and engage the children in physical activities.

UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON HIGHER EDUCATION PROJECTS
SCIENCE RESEARCH BLDG 1 RENOVATIONS
This project is located in Houston, TX. The university was in search of renovating suites to update their purpose and functionality. The as-builts of the existing conditions needed to be as accurate as possible in order to execute the intended design. Meetings with the department helped coordinate design finishes. Offices, conference rooms, and labs were developed to provide additional research tools for the science building. Overall, the suites gave the building new interior aesthetics. The intention is to continue renovations through different phases to give it a complete look.

MD ANDERSON LIBRARY RENOVATION
This project is located in Houston, TX. The university was in search of renovating the lobby space for the library. The as-builts of the existing conditions needed to be as accurate as possible in order to execute the intended design. Meetings with the security personnel and faculty helped coordinate design and security for the space. The turnstile system brought security to the students and staff. Overall, the renovation was small, but served a major purpose to the campus. The library is a central place for students to gather and study.

MECHATRONICS LAB RENOVATION
This project is located in Houston, TX. The college was in search of relocating the mechatronics lab with the new equipment they had gained. The as-builts of the existing conditions needed to be as accurate as possible in order to execute the intended design. Meetings with the department helped coordinate the size of the equipment and its functionality to the space provided. The team, therefore, developed a layout with new teaching walls for the instructors. Overall, there was major coordination between the electrical and architecture team to provide the college with the necessary tools for the new operating lab.

FIRE TRAINING FACILITY
This project is located in Kingwood, TX. The college was in search of a new fire training facility. The firefighters and instructors had been teaching the program at another campus and were ready to make this campus their main location. Meetings with the department helped coordinate the necessary equipment and layout. The team, therefore, developed different stages for the firefighters to teach. Each stage serves a purpose whether it be tower training or burning connex boxes for exposure. Overall, there was great development throughout the design process that brought functionality to the space. The program needs were critical in the development of the space and its orientation to the site.

LIBRARY LEARNING CENTER CAFE
This project is located in Houston, TX. The university was interested in renovating the library’s cafe space. The as-builts of the existing conditions needed to be as accurate as possible in order to execute the intended design. Meetings with the department helped coordinate the numerous amount of equipment and its functionality to the space provided. The team, therefore, developed a layout with both servery and seating. The functionality of the servery space was crucial to the design intent. Overall, there was major coordination with the end users to make sure sure the space served well for all the employees and customers.

INDUSTRIAL CAREERS BUILDING
This project is located in Texas City, TX. The college was interested in designing a new facility for the campus as part of their master plan development. The new industrial careers building is composed of labs on the first floor that serve as a highlighted feature to the building. Classrooms and office suites on the second and third floors provide the faculty with greater funcionality of the new space. Meetings with all departments helped coordinate the numerous amount of equipment and its functionality to the space provided. The team, therefore, developed a layout with both furniture and equipment to help designate purpose. Overall, there was great development with both the interior portion of the building as well as the exterior. The tilt-wall construction was cost effective and capable of being aesthetically pleasing to the campus.

FINE ARTS ADDITION
This project is located in Texas City, TX. The college was interested in designing an addition for the campus existing fine arts building. This as well was part of their master plan development. The new fine arts addition is is defined by two programs dividing the building into theatre and photography spaces. The theatre, scene shop, classroom and green room/dressing rooms are separated from the light/dark rooms and photography classroom creating individual yet collaborative spaces between the two programs. The offices are located on the north side of the building adjacent to the main entry with the ability to access natural light. Overall, the accessible entry from the parking area on the north side of the building makes it easy for guests to enter the building through a controlled access point.
