A display for award-winners recognizes philanthropists who are taking up the torch of Ali’s humanitarian legacy.

This photobooth places visitors in boxing posters as a pledge to fight for change in their communities.

They honor thier late founder, Fred Kavli, by installing a memorial dedicated to his vision in the entrance of their new headqaurters in LA. CAMP MODEL

LIFE IN CAMP

A tactile model gives visitors an overview of the square mile of camp.

Artifacts buit by internees illustrate the struggle to maintain normalcy and family life in camp.


The Topaz Museum // Delta UT In the Utah desert, a few miles from the city of Delta, over 11,000 Japanese Americans were interned at the Topaz War Relocation Center during World War II. The Topaz Museum tells their stories and captures the events of this painful, yet little known, chapter in American history.

Workers in the space can pause in an open window to order coffee or snacks and then proceed with their workday.

Workers can also stop by on their break or lunch and step out of their regular work environment.

The large atrium space is connected with similar furniture meant for collaboration yet privacy.

Designers and innovators in San Leandro, CA are looking for a cafe space for creative and collaborative coffee breaks at the Bay Area Advanced Manufacturing Hub(BAAM) and co-working center. At the Cafe Nexus, workers have an opportunity to grab a quick coffee, lounge on lunch breaks, collaborate, or attend after-hours keynote speeches at this LED-inspired cafe.

An REI merchandising competition is looking for a new and innovative Camp Department to attract active outdoor millennials. New merchandising furniture, inspired by the trees of the California Sierra Nevada, form a forest of various displays and technological interaction with REI camping products.

San Jose business people and visitors unwind at the hotel’s hip wine bar.

A basement pool is lit from the lobby above giving a subterranean, relaxing feel.

Guest rooms are immersed in the same facade allowing for balcony space.


San Jose’s SoMa neighborhood needs a hip boutique hotel to host business visitors and young couples in the area. Hotel Porosso offers a new inside-look on porous bone structure while accommodating San Jose visitors in a trendy design district. In collaboration with: Deanna Molkenbuhr

Ascension Spa The Bay Bridge Anchorage is a remote location that is asking for a serene spa attraction. Using the forms of Olafur Eliasson’s artworks, Ascension Spa is a color-immersing experience with 360 degree Bay views allowing the guests to become fresh and enlightened.
