H E L L O L O V E LY !

I’m so glad you are here. Choosing your wedding photographer is a big deal. After all, these photos will out-live you, and that is a hefty weight to bare. Because these memories are so important, I take great care in capturing and preserving them for all of my couples. These are the two most important things to know about booking me: 1) I’m here to help you stress less. 2) We’re going to have way too much fun. When you book my services, you’re not only trusting me with the story of your day, but you’re also gaining a friend. I hope you’re okay with that.

MY HISTORY Started taking photos in 2007 while enrolled in a photography class in college (I learned on a Nikon film camera. Had to develop prints in the darkroom and everything!) Started my business officially in 2010, and have since photographed numerous weddings all over Arkansas. I eloped in Vegas in 2012 (it was amazing). I am step-mom to an awesome little boy Greyson and mom to the sweetest little girl you ever saw, Ava.

MY STYLE I strive to capture the in-between. Those moments that not everyone catches. The way a father tears up the first time he sees his daughter in her wedding dress. The grandmother who dances with the flower girl. The groom as he kisses his bride’s shoulder as they greet guests. Documenting these moments, and these people in your life, is so important. In addition, I love capturing all the details of your day, as well as fun family formals that will live on to tell the story of the beginning of your marriage. Because it’s a beautiful thing.

XOXO,

Stephanie is an amazing photographer and

so much fun. She did anything we needed to

help keep the stress level down. I really felt like she took the time to get to know us so that she could tailor her style to our personalities. - LAURA & SAM

TIPS AND Tricks to help you stress less on your wedding day

8

1

Work with your photographer to create a timeline of your wedding day. She will help you budget time for portraits and other important events, as well as offer advice on when to do what.

2

Have food on hand while you get ready. I made the mistake of barely eating on my wedding day and ended up with a headache. Having healthy snacks and lots of water on hand will make for a better day.

3

Practice walking in your wedding day shoes to make sure they’re comfortable enough to stand around in for your portraits and for the duration of your wedding. Pain is beauty, yes, but looking pained in a picture isn’t worth the discomfort.

4

Pack a “wedding day emergency” kit and bring it along with you on your big day. Essentials include some clear nail polish for snags, pain reliever for headaches, any makeup you need for touching up and a travel sewing kit. Band-Aids, lozenges, tampons and tissues are also good.

5

Have your cake and flowers arrive at the latest possible moment (but still budget in some buffer time). Flowers wilt and cakes can melt on hot days, so putting these deliveries off can ensure both look great for your pictures, ceremony and reception.

| S T E P H A N I E D AW N P H OTO G R A P H Y

6

Have a “spot checker” on hand who’s there to help you out with things like tangled trains, smeared lipstick or out-of-place hair. This can be someone in your bridal party or the mother of the bride, for example.

7

Whether you’re doing your makeup yourself or having a makeup artist come in, do a trial run. This is especially important if you have sensitive skin, as an allergic reaction on your wedding day would not be good.

8

Order at least 25 extra wedding invitations than you think you’ll need. It’s better to have extras “just in case” and often times it’s less expensive to buy in bulk than to order just a few extra.

9

Follow up with all your vendors a week before your wedding to make sure everything is in place and ready to go. Should anything be wrong (say, the florist only has you down for 4 bouquets instead of 5), this will provide plenty of time to fix the mistake.

10

Expect the unexpected. Sometimes things don’t go as planned, and that’s OK. In the long term, it’s your outlook and attitude that makes for a brilliant, successful day.

PHOTOGRAPHY TO -DOS BEFORE YOUR BIG DAY

Send contract and retainer. This is done at the time of booking.

Schedule engagement session. 2 months or more in advance. Submit final payment (if on a payment plan for your photography) one month before your wedding. Complete timeline survey and confirm with your photographer your must-have shots 2 weeks prior to your wedding.

c e l e b r at e Y O U R L O V E the engagement session

Engagement sessions serve as prime bonding time for you two. In fact, many of the couples I photograph tell me that their engagement shoot brought them closer together, something they didn’t think possible considering how much they were in love already. How’s that for amazing? Think about it, though. When you’re doing intimate things such as just looking into each other’s eyes, holding your partner’s hand or resting on his shoulder in very romantic settings, it’s impossible not to fall more in love. Truth: In our fast-paced world, sometimes we forget to enjoy the silence and the moment and just be together.

10

| S T E P H A N I E D AW N P H OTO G R A P H Y

There are also practical reasons for an engagement session, too. For example, many people use shots from their engagement shoot for save the dates, wedding invitations and even thank you cards post-wedding. (Things I can totally help with!) It’s also a great time to meet and get to know your photographer, so that you will greet each other as old friends on your wedding day. Your engagement photographs are also great to use on your engagement website, for announcing your engagement online and for simply documenting yourself as a young and in-love couple. I promise you, your grandkids will love going through these photographs in 40 years.

w h at T O W E A R the engagement session

Here’s the thing: don’t stress too much about the clothes you wear for your engagement session. This is time for you and your love. The emotions you wear on your face will shine brighter than the clothes you choose to wear. The important thing is to wear what’s comfortable. We’ll be walking, jumping, playing, and dancing during your session, so wear what is you and what you can move around in. Start with a theme. Work with your fiancé to determine the look you are going for. A night on the town? A country picnic? This will help you both choose outfits that compliment each other. Layers are best. You can change your entire look just by removing a scarf or cardigan.

Complimentary colors work well. Try to avoid white, as it may wash you out. Besides, white is reserved for your wedding day. And don’t be afraid of patterns! Avoid bulky jewelry and big watches. These can be distractions when posing and viewing photos. You want your natural selves to shine through, not that fancy watch. That being said, it’s important to show a little personality. Some funky earrings or fun shoes will help exemplify who you are without being overpowering.

I’ll be with you every step of the way on your wedding day. I’m not one of those photographers who is in your face the whole time. For most of your day, you’ll hardly even know I’m there snapping away. That means a weight off your shoulders and lots of time to spend focusing on making sure your big day goes smoothly.

GET TING READY I start the day by photographing you getting ready. Don’t worry. This is all very much G-rated and I’ll make sure to capture your gorgeous self. Think detail shots of your fragrance du jour, you slipping into your beautiful shoes, a crowd of happy bridesmaids in their slouchy sweatpants and impeccable hair. The same is true for the men, too. I’ll capture them fastening boutonnieres to their lapels, candids of dad giving the groom some sage advice and groomsmen laughing it up while the women get ready.

PORTRAITS When you book with Stephanie Dawn Photography, you’ll also get formal and informal portrait shots. That includes those gorgeous bridal portraits, handsome pics of the groom (perfect for propping up on your work desk), group shots of the entire bridal party and all the family portrait shots you could ever want. I like to do a mix of both casual and traditional for these shots.

CEREMONY AND RECEPTION Of course, I also document your entire wedding ceremony and reception, complete with all those big -- and small -- moments that must be caught on film. That includes walking down the aisle, the big kiss, the officiant speaking, musicians playing, and family and friends listening/watching. I’ll also capture all those fun and heartfelt moments at your reception, from tearful and hilarious toasts to some mad dancing skills to cake cutting and beyond.

DETAILS Rest assured I’ll capture all those details you planned, as well. You spent good money -- and time -- planning your special day; I’m here to make sure it’s documented beautifully. I’ll photograph the tiniest details on your wedding favors, the sugary flower ornaments on your cake, the lanterns hanging in the trees and anything else you thoughtfully included.

THE STORY All of the photos you receive will tell a beautiful story that you’ll be excited to share for years to come. It’s about your love, your family, your memories, and I’m so excited to capture them!

FAQ

WE ADORE YOU. HOW DO WE BOOK? A 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract is required to save your date. Once I have those, you are officially part of the family!

DO YOU TAKE PAYMENT INSTALLMENTS?

All parties involved (bride, groom, and whoever is paying for your photos) will need to sign the contract. But you’ll be our primary contact and who we speak with leading up to, on the day of, and the days following your wedding.

Of course! We can work out a payment schedule to make sure you’re able to pay for the photos. Payment plans usually consist of 3 payments, with the last due one month before your wedding.

CAN I HIRE AN ADDITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER TO SHOOT OUR WEDDING?

DO YOU OFFER GIFT REGISTRIES? Yes! I am so proud to present gift registries for those who wish to purchase photo packages or items from the print collection with the help of family and friends. I would love to set one up for you.

20

SOMEONE ELSE IS PAYING FOR OUR PHOTOS. WHO SIGNS THE CONTRACT?

| S T E P H A N I E D AW N P H OTO G R A P H Y

The contract you sign states that Stephanie Dawn Photography is the only photographer allowed to shoot on your wedding day. This helps promote our creativeness and ensures you get the best photos. I do offer additional shooters depending on the photo package you choose. As long as guests do not infringe upon our space, they can take pictures with their cameras/phones.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS? Absolutely! I love traveling to new places. My travel expenses usually consist of airfare (if your wedding is more than three hours away) hotel stay, car rental, and food allowance. I can work with you on a custom quote for your destination wedding.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY PICTURES? You will alway receive your pictures within six weeks. During the busy season, I sometimes get backlogged, but even then I do our best to have all digital negatives to you within that time frame.

DO YOU PROVIDE CUSTOMIZED PACKAGES? Not all weddings are the same, I get it! For that reason, I may provide a customized wedding package to suit your needs. These customized packages are for weddings that are far outside the norm (for example, a very short, intimate wedding between only parents and the bride/groom). Talk to me and I’ll make it work!

Have additional questions? Feel free to email hello@iamstephaniedawn.com, or call or text (479) 531-2640.

DO YOU DESIGN THE PHOTOGRAPHY ALBUMS? My gorgeous heirloom albums are absolutely breathtaking and yes, I do design them in house. I work with you to include the photographs you love best to ensure you love your album from cover to cover. S T E P H A N I E D AW N P H OTO G R A P H Y |
