POWER is the ability to influence the attainment of goals of an individual or a group. Power is not a characteristic of any one individual, rather, it is defined in terms of relationships and transactions between people. When it comes to employment and entrepreneurship, it is essential to know the power of your network. It’s been said, “it’s not what you know but who you know!” I would like to add that it’s also what they know about you. The reason being is people do business with people they know, like or trust and to have a strong network, people have to do just that, know, like or trust you.
NETWORKING is a supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest . Understanding the definition of networking is crucial because there are some key words in this definition that people miss in their networking endeavors. Those words are "sharing information" and "common interest". Too often people say “I got NOTHING from that event!” so I ask, “What were you offering?” and I get a puzzled look. The problem is people approach networking tuned into WIIFM (What's In It For Me?) and the networking experience is a lost battle before it begins. The reality is nothing from nothing leaves nothing - - if you are not bringing anything to the table, you should not expect to take anything from the table. This issue of CM is vitally important to your future. It's about networking, neck-working, and netweaving, concepts that when understood properly can power up your network ensuring a bright future. I'm so very excited about having the opportunity to power up your career, your business and ulltimately your life with information and education that you can use today for a better tomorrow. It's time to move into the next dimension and become the creators of your worklife. It's true, the power really is within, it's just waiting for you to plug into the right power source! LETS GO! POWER UP!
Powerfully Packed,
