Focusing on the celebration of interior architecture, natural materials and the darker end of the colour spectrum, S117 provides minimal, luxurious, contemporary designs, focusing on understated elegance in a dynamic, sophisticated statement to create a definitive and unforgettable environment. Taking great inspiration from European interior design, S117 offers a unique design style to the Australian market. Striving to create bespoke and distinguished environments in the hospitality, multi-residential, and residential settings. Executing designs to the highest of standards with exceptional attention to detail is at the forefront of S117’s ethics. In addition to quality of work, vigilant communication with clients is absolutely essential. S117 strives to provide the best service to clients. 3 TYALGUM CABIN RETREAT
Velkomst Hjem Project type: Residential - Complete Interior design service. Property Type: Class 2 residential. Brief: The clients recently moved from Melbourne to Brisbane to be closer to their families based in Tyalgum NSW. This move awarded them the opportunity to construct a cabin on their family’s property. The request was to create and construct a bespoke “Cabin Retreat� to be their home away from home. A relaxing environment for the couple, which also accommodates entertaining for a small amount of guests. Deriving from Norway, the clients have a great appreciation for the Scandinavian Design style, enjoying the timeless appeal of its naturally inspired colours and materials, in addition to the clever use of minimal space, They requested the space include quality and sustainable materials and to consider accessibility for their older family members. The Design: Velkomst Hjem features a quintessential Scandinavian inspired design. Tapping into the designs heritage through the clever use of minimal space, application of natural materials and iconic Scandinavian furniture pieces. Open plan living was used in the space to create a fresh, minimal design which welcomes an abundance of light and stunning non-obstructed views of the surrounding nature on the property. The colour palette is subdued, taking inspiration from the natural aesthetics of mixed timbers and glass.
Velkomst Hjem (meaing ‘Welcome Home’in Danish) is a Scandinavian inspired concept which broadcasts the heritage of traditional Scandinavian interior design in a contemporary affair. The concept is clean, open, light, minimal and sophisticated in design. This traditionally inspired Scandinavian concept invites you to sit down and cosy up in its welcoming and intimate space. FLOOR PLAN DESIGN The floor plan for the cabin has been designed with an open plan living space due to the restrictive overall size of the space. There are only two walls in the space, a partition wall from the living room to the bedroom and complete walls to close off the bathroom. Each room is carefully designated to offer the most amount of natural light, in addition to providing non-obstructed views of the surrounding area.

4 RESIDENTIAL CAD SERVICE
THE DOULTON Project type: Residential 3D Visualisation CAD Package. Brief: The clients, Phillip and Tanya were in the process of designing a floor plan for their new build through Metricon Homes Australia. The clients had made multiple variations to the original plans to suit their lifestyle and large family in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. The clients desired a method in order to visualise their plans in a realistic view to ensure their alterations to the plan (most importantly, the kitchen and entry way) were both practical and aesthetically pleasing, prior to finalising them. A Revit 3D visualisation service was offered to them in hopes of assisting the clients to pursue their design and build. This project is a small collection of works carried out in order to fulfill their requests, including a simplification of their current floor plans and rendering in 3D using a combination of both Revit and Adobe Photoshop..

5 HAMILTON COLOUR PROPOSAL
HAMILTON LIVING Project type: Residential preliminary Colour Proposal. Brief: Local Brisbane Developer Grant Ellerby, approached S117 INTERIOR DESIGN to request an exterior colour scheme proposal for a residential development in Hamilton Brisbane, The development has been strategically geared towards executive professionals who are seeking a home which evidently reflects their status and lifestyle. Offering them a contemporary residence close to the city, airport and social facilities. The client was seeking a timeless scheme which will maximise the appeal of his villas, offering buyers a “point of difference” in a competitive market. Carefully considering the target market, surrounding areas and contemporary design style, “Hamilton Living” was created to communicate an indicative colour scheme for the villas to appeal to the required audience.

6 CREATIVE INDUSTRIES HUB
POLY VECTOR CREATIVE INDUSTRIES HUB Project type: Commercial - Complete design package. Property Type: Class 5 & 6 commercial office and retail space. Budget: $350,000 Brief: The University of Canberra had requested a concept and design solution tailored to the creative industries hub sector of their faculty, located at the South Bank TAFE Queensland campus in South Brisbane. “A dynamic space reflecting innovation and creativity”. The hub needed to be engaging for both students and staff. Interactive applications were encouraged to create a space that is strikingly different from any other existing educational space. The hub was to have two operations, a retail store (FOH) and office (BOH) space. All materials and finishes would address environmental considerations and sustainability practices where possible throughout the Hubs’ design. The university of Canberra wanted to focus heavily on an energy efficient environment with a major consideration for sustainability to set an industry example on what they wanted their brand to represent. Poly Vector is a design which expresses innovation and embodies the vision of the University of Canberra’s Creative Industries Hub..
