Personal Brand

My brand is about showing the energetic but sophisticated designer that I’m growing to be. I used my pink pattern paired with a solid throughout all of my deliverables, not only because pink is my favorite color, but it also shows the energy I have. Organized, creative, driven, and reliable are qualities I possess that are important for my potential employers to understand. Not only do I consider myself having a colorful personality, a lot of my designs use colors. I spent a lot of my time in design studying the meaning behind colors, so I want that idea to be something that is connected through my brand. Design is something I have been passionate about from a very young age, that being said I have a passion towards my career. I am driven each and every day to succeed and continue to grow and develop as a designer. I will be your go to girl to get the job done.

Logo My personal logo embodies the elegance and creativity behind brand. This mark is strong and dynamic enough that it can stand on its own, but also work in context with a lock-up of my name and contact information

Business Card My business card is printed on glossy card stock and is encased with a sleeve also made out of a glossy card stock. The sleeve is something you don’t see everyday and I hope will make me stand out to employers. The key hole provides a pop of color to represent the creativity behind my brand.

Cover Letter This is printed on white linen paper, and has the paint texture of the back side. I chose to left align my text to relate it to the text above, but that also created white space across the page which highlights the simplicity of a first impression.

Resume I really wanted to incorporate my texture on this page to make it stand out in a stack among others. By adding my pattern on the back of the page I still created a wow factor. Underlining the headers with pink connects this deliverable to my outgoing personality and my over all brand, but it is simple enough that it is done in a tasteful manner.

Teaser My teaser is made up of multiple components. This package will arrive by mail and when you open the box you are greeted by a card with instructions to look at the flash drive to learn more about me. The flash drive will hold a video informing viewers about who I am and what I have to offer. The box mimics my business card from outside to in, and the flash drive is wrapped in my texture.

Envelope My envelope is where my inspiration for the pop of color throughout my brand started. Having the surprise of color on the interior of the envelope highlights my idea of being colorful yet elegant. It is made out of a lightweight card stock.

Leave Behind My leave behind is a sketch book. This will remind my interviewers of me and my brand every time they use it since it is spread all over my deliverables. The inside cover is holds my logo and contact information, so it is easy to locate.

Social Media

My social media gives viewers a glimpse into my brand. My Instagram page directly shows my projects through its posts and gives a detailed description of each, and my logo acts as my profile picture. For my linked in I used my brands texture as my cover photo, and used my mark as something they will later see if they scroll through my page. It is important that each of these connect back to my brand as much as possible considering employers can view this on their own time before or after an interview

Hydrate Water Bottle

What makes a water bottle special, can a basic water bottle instead be something fresh and exciting? This project was straightforward, I created a new brand of bottled water for sale with it’s main feature being an exciting and interesting visual shape.

Phase I My design concept was to create a brand that encourages and motivated people to consume water. People should drink 8 glasses of water a day, so with my design I wanted to make that easy. My bottle goes through phases that will incline people to keep consuming water. My bottle will be taken out of a fridge when being purchased and have a blue tint to it because it uses therm-chromic technology.

Phase II Once that water turns room temperature it will lose all of the blue tint, and be left with the pattern. As consumers drink the water the pattern will begin to fade away and motivational quotes will appear on the back of the bottle.

Phase III The back of the bottle also functions as a teaching mechanism for consumers. It informs them how much water they should be consuming an hour and after refilling this bottle 2 times you will reach all you needed water for the day. People will choose this bottle as their go to day to day bottle to stay hydrated.

Luna Bar & Restaurant

Working in a team of two architects and three interior designers we created Luna. Luna encourages experiential learning through the discovery of self. This discovery radiates from the individual, positively impacting the social fabric of OTR. Inspired by the golden ratio, the landscape encourages visitors to circulate towards the core of Luna. The market encompassing the core provides the first glimpse of the farm to table process, providing an interactive or passive depending on the visitors desired discovery.

The restaurant was completely redone and doesn’t show any history of the space. It is a complete contrast to when you go lower into the space where everywhere you turn you can see the history.

The Lower Level of the site was made up of many vaults. I wanted to keep the ascetic and unique design these vaults brought to the space.

Branding I created an entire brand for this restaurant, from the Logo, Promo Items, Menus, and Uniforms. The design was inspired by the atmosphere we wanted to create with our restaurant and bar. Our restaurant is meant to shine in the night of OTR, and our logo represents that idea. The touches of green tie in the idea that all of our restaurant uses ingredients from our fresh produce market on the main level.

Type Based Logo

This assignment we had to design a tea company, I decided to design a company that will only sell Green Tea. I was inspired by the great health benefits of having this beverage. What will make GreenT stand out from other tea companies is that we will focus and solely sell Green Tea. We want to be known for the health benefits of our products. We will be known in our customers minds as the smart and healthy option. They would be confident consuming our product because they will bettering themselves with every sip.

Magazine Spread

This project I learned about publication design, I was exposed to the technical aspects of using Adobe InDesign for my layout work. I learned quite a bit about the technical nuances of the software including working with multi-page documents, master page elements, using and connecting multiple text frames, character/ paragraph, kerning, tracking, and leading to name just a few.

For this project, I was paired with three other students, we each designed a spread, but the challenge is that we had to work together to design a cohesive magazine. Our magazine was about teleportation, and how that would effect our everyday lives.

We learned about the importance of using white space effectively. The idea of using visual echoes which we accomplished by using a similar color scheme in all of our photos. And another significant lesson was to choose fonts that work together. Using a fonts that either have concordance or contrast. It is important to have a variety of text but also while creating unity.

Website Design

Check out the website for yourself here: https://asweetmorselco.com

Using Squarespace I created a website for the Sweet Morsel Company from scratch. I started the process by taking pictures of all of our products to compile a gallery for customers to visualize what we are capable of.

The goal was to create an accessible website for users of all ages. I showed off our popular products while displaying some of our customers favorites.

Osteria Bari

Osteria Bari Website Click To View

I was connected with a restaurant that was struggling with their brand. Osteria Bari had bought Toscana Pizza which didn’t have the best reputation and the owners couldn’t bring in customers to try their new recipes and improvements. I re-branded the whole company to help the company build their own identity.

The key was to give the company a completely new look, I created a new website, social media, and advertisements for the company.

Book Cover

Books are judged by their covers every day. People pick up a book and they decide whether to spend the time on its contents just by how the images and words on its cover call out to their intellect and play on their senses. These interactions sometimes result in a connection between content and reader. For this project I was given a title and sentence description of a book, “Written on his calendar the day of my father’s death, these words: Call son”. From those few details I had to create a compelling book cover.
