A cross between an art book and an animated book. Inside this picture book children will discover May Angeli’s stunning woodcuts featuring 12 different families of farm animals. In the French version the book will open on a riddle teamed with a woodcut. The riddles aim to have the child and reader guess which animal will be revaeled by lifting the flaps. The fist of two flaps will be lifted to reveal the answer to the riddle and its illustration, the second to show two other images of animals from the same family composing triptych as shown above. Foreign editions may replicate this or conceive their own text for a different concept; they could for instance feature animal names (male female and child) or animal famillies and their cries.
