At the 2019 Junior Nationals, Rioja generated the reserve grand champion bred and owned, a reserve division champion in the owned show, and three class winners in just his first calf crop. In addition to those winners, he sired the Reserve National Champion Female in the 2019 National Red Angus Show in Fort Worth this summer. Red Blood will add his dark red color and impeccable structure. His soundness of feet and correctness in his joints is “breed changing.” Red Blood has an extreme amount of rib shape and ties in perfectly behind his shoulders with an overall smoothness and masculinity. Red Blood’s first progeny hit the sale scene with two daughters selling through the 2021 Duff Holiday Kickoff Sale, bringing $50,000 and $29,000 along with the top-selling bull through the 2022 Rhodes Red Angus Bull sale for $30,000. Across the board, Red Blood is knocking it out of park by producing major highlights in this year’s P+ Sale, along with topping many other sales across the country.

HD is quite a specimen with style all his own. He moves out flawlessly, covering each step with his head held high. HD has a long-level hip, pronounced stifle, sound structure, while carrying a look of “look at me” herd bull character. 15522, HD’s dam is just as unique; she stepped in a gopher hole and broke her back leg while nursing her 2nd calf. Not only did she breed back timely, but her heifer calf Rita was also a sale feature in our 2019 Holiday Sale. Quality and style run deep in this family tree, and we believe HD will have a lasting impact in the Red Angus breed and several others.
