As we finish up a great week at junior nationals, which was the largest in the breed’s history, I could not be more thankful to be a part of this breed. Thankfully we did not have significant pandemics or other unexpected events to hurt this great event and get the Shorthorn family back together.

It was great to see so many juniors from across the country compete against each other in the different contests from fitting to photography. The junior board had a great time hosting and helping with these contests, mainly because we interacted with the junior exhibitors before and after.

This great event would not be able to happen without the American Junior Shorthorn Association, American Shorthorn Association Staff, the ASA Board of Directors, and more. I want to say thank you to all of those individuals that went above and beyond for this great event. I would also like to say thank you to all of the breeders, donors, and supporters. Without the generous contributions made throughout this year, we would not have had such amazing junior nationals and the great prizes we handed out.

As president of the AJSA Junior Board of Directors, I am very excited and honored to serve the breed and the youth of this industry for the following year. I am thrilled to be working with this Junior Board, AJSA & ASA staff, and all of the generous donors and supporters. I believe we will work great together and try to make this next Junior Nationals the best and, of course, the biggest.

Finally, I am incredibly excited to see everyone again at the 2022 Junior Nationals in Kansas City, Missouri. I cannot wait to be surrounded by the Shorthorn family once again very soon. =
