Cattlemen’s Congress Reminders

Happy Holidays from the ASA crew. This fall has been a very busy one and there is still a lot to look forward to in the coming year. Kicking off the New Year in Oklahoma City at Cattlemen’s Congress is a great way to start. Make sure to look through the premium book and schedule found online at https:// cattlemenscongress.com/. You can find all cattle health requirements for vet papers here as well. All cattle must have a negative BVD-PI test.

All Shorthorn Pen Cattle and Tie Cattle may start arriving at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5th and must be in place by 6 p.m. Thursday, January 6th. Pen Cattle check in will be Friday, January 7th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. We will be weighing and ultra-sounding pen cattle at check in.

Tie Cattle check in will be at 1 p.m. following Pen Cattle check in on Friday, January 7th.

The Shorthorn Pen Show will be Sunday, January 9th and 9 a.m. and cattle will be released at the completion of show.

“The Summit” National Shorthorn Sale celebrating 150 years will be Sunday, January 9th at 6 p.m.

The Tie Cattle shows will be Monday and Tuesday with both shows starting at 8 a.m. The show order Monday, January 10th will be the Junior Shorthorn Show, Junior ShorthornPlus Show, followed by the Super National ShorthornPlus Female Show and Super National ShorthornPlus Bull Show. Tuesday, January 11th will start with the Super National Shorthorn Bull show followed by the Super National Shorthorn Female show. All cattle will be released at the completion of their shows.
