Dear Friends and Shorthorn Enthusiasts, It gives us great pride in welcoming you to our Where Great Females Make A Difference. This has truly been a life time dream to be able to hold a production sale with our partners and friends. I have always been told to be successful in a business you must surround yourself with great people. We believe our partners and friends are among the greatest and thank each and everyone of them. We have also tried implement this same philosophy into our breeding program by going out and purchasing only the best females out of the greatest cow families in the Shorthorn breed. Over the years, we have traveled many miles, attending many shows and sales and greatest of all, made many friends. We invite you to join us on October 10th and be part of the exciting times in the Shorthorn breed If there is anything we can do to help, please feel free to contact us we are dedicated to the Shorthorn breed. Best Regards, Dave and Josh Greenhorn

SULL Roses Are Red, Grand Champion Female, ‘14 American Royal Open & Junior Show Reserve Grand Champion Female, ‘14 NWSS Grand Champion, ‘14 Iowa State Fair Paternal sister to Lot 1. Look at the resemblance!

Ten years ago our Lot 1 female was an Augusta Pride and topped our sale at $28,000 selling to Rodney Rod, Hamann Farms and syndicate. This is one of the breed’s legendary cow families, that has stood the test of time, this SULL Red Reward daughter is soft middled, long fronted, broody made and is a cattlemans kind of female. Tremendous EPDs with that show ring appeal. If you are looking for donor material you better take this one home. They don’t get any better! Consigned by Greenhorn Cattle Co. The Margie Story.

During the 1998 North American Show my dad took me and showed me a female that he thought was the best Shorthorn female he had ever seen. That female was DSF Margie 6109. Although she didn’t win the National Championship that day she was successfully campaigned by Ashley Hunter being Reserve Grand at the American Royal, Senior Champion Junior Nationals, Reserve Calf Champion Denver National, along with many others. 6109 was selling that next month in the “Genetics On-Line” Sale. Unable to attend due to winter weather my dad was determined to own her and bought her via Don Cagwin over the phone. Although a Colonel in the US Air Force my dad had a keen eye for the good ones. Thanks Dad for the Vision! As they say the rest is history...What an impact Margie 6109 has made not only in our program but also Cates and Sullivans, and the entire breed.

Safe in calf to JA Commotion; due late 35.98 99.5 48.54 April 2016. Another Gould acquisition that comes a bit on the thin side but a ShorthornPlus with a unique pedigree. As you study her, she grows on you. I predict when she is a 3-4 years old you won’t part with her. Have some vision here. Consigned by Greenhorn Cattle Co. & Turner Shorthorns 20

This striking female comes right out of our show string where she gathered many friends this summer. Beautiful from the side and elegant in her movement, this is a show heifer through and through. Her mother is one of our lead donors, and her sire is enjoying a lot of success in both the ShorthornPlus and Maintainer rings. Will be entered for NAILE. Consigned by Justin Olson

Simmental

My involement in the Simmental breed came in 1973 upon graduation from the University of Kentucky taking the manager position at KBJ Ranch owned by Erv & Zoe Dell Nutter. 1,400 brood cows and establishing the first transplant center east of the Mississippi in 1975 in conjuction with Ohio State University. Along with my good friend Randy Favorite we owned and exhibited the first black Simmental female Midnight Reward, to win Denver in 1993. We have a few Simmys to coincide with our beloved Shorthorns. Zoe Dell turned 100 years old this past summer and is still involved with a few cows. Wow!

Possession remains at Greenhorn Cattle Co. Selling half (1⁄2) interest as we would like to stay involved and campaign Sioux. Here is a SimSolution heifer thats had a lot of friends and she’s bound to make a lot more. Powerful, well balanced and pretty made with an unpresciented spring of rib. There is power in the pedigree as John Griswold says - (Chopper X Irish Wiskey), PHA & TH Free by parentage. Consigned by Farmer Group
