2D 545 Donor & Progeny

September 13, 2021

Dear Friends,

Writing a letter for a dispersal is often “sweet and sour.” Beef producers enter this business for many reasons. Seedstock production is just one sector of an extremely diverse and complex system that delivers unmatched quality and nutrition, safely, to global consumers.

In 2018, the Morris’ selected two tremendous GAR Prophet daughters for their herd. Both females ranked in the top 1% of Method Genetics Retained Ownership Index. The females were the epitome of what we strive for everyday—calving ease, early and explosive growth, maternal function, and high-quality, end product merit.

Since then, the Morris’ added to their seedstock operation, selecting similar females from the Goode-Knoll herds. They continued to build their Angus herd by recognizing the importance of selecting females with inherent genetics to succeed throughout the supply chain.

Gardiner Angus Ranch is fortunate to have been in the beef business for five generations. We realize one certainty beyond all others. It isn’t the length of time in the business. It’s the quality of cattle produced during any length of time in the beef business. Keith and Jacque embraced the focus and discipline required to produce Angus seedstock with the greatest opportunity for success for their customers.

Regardless of the reason to enter or exit beef production, the question becomes, did we make a difference? Keith and Jackque Morris have made a difference. They invested in genetics that have made a difference. The cattle selling in this sale will continue to make a difference.

The cattle offered in this sale are designed to provide greater opportunity for success for any new buyer. Buy with confidence!

Sincerely,

Mark R. Gardiner Gardiner Angus Ranch

Dear Keith and Jackque, We met Keith and Jackque in 2012 through a mutual friend and they expressed interest in the registered side of the cattle business. They began by buying em-bryos and later began purchasing cattle from Goode Angus through the Prime by Design Female Sale and also Gardiner Angus Ranch. They both went to AI school and word has it Jacque was the better AI tech. Glennette assisted them with AAA online entry and was very impressed with their record keeping. As you will see going through this sale book, they had a plan—calving ease, growth and as much carcass as you can put into them as well as using either proven sires or genetically proven sires through AI. They have been very successful with their bulls at Gardiner Angus, where they have been a cooperator with the ranch. They had a plan and stuck with it. So, look close, there are some opportunities in this sale book. Due to unforeseen circumstances they are getting out of the cattle business at this time. Keith was visiting with me recently, saying this has been one of the hardest decisions he has ever made. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them back in a few years, Lord willing. Good fortunes Keith and Jackque!
