Star Search XX was a Home Run. This year’s group of Open Heifers was of top quality. The bred females were a really strong group. You couple those facts with another SRO crowd and active bidding from the seats, on the phones and a very active internet and you have the recipe for a great sale. That is was. A roan, polled February 15, 2022 daughter of SULL Red Knight 2030 and out of SULL Crystal’s Lucy ET. This great young female comes from a long line of Champions. She has all the pieces to be a Champion on her own and then definitely find the donor pen, Purchased by Rick Lawrence of Wilkinson, Indiana. $140,000 - Lot 9 - Shorthorn Plus Open Heifer. A black, polled February 1, 2022 daughter of Conley No Limit and out of SULL Dream On 5158 ET. Each year this sale has just a great set of Plus heifers and this one rose to the top on sale day. She is awesome in her style and design. She will be hard to beat. Purchased by Houston Ferree of Sullivan, Indiana. $60,000 - Lot 7A - Shorthorn Plus Open Heifer - CF Mona Lisa 238 OP X ET. A black, polled February 18, 2022 daughter of SSF On Point 4028 and out of CF V8 Mona Lisa Reward 782 SOL ET. This top prospect has a great pedigree. The On Point cattle look really good. The dam’s side of her pedigree is super strong. Purchased by Samantha VanVorhis of Bowling Green, Ohio. $55,000 - Lot 1A - Open Heifer - CF Mona Lisa 222 LL X ET. A roan, polled February 1, 2022 daughter of CSF Long Look HC 706 ET and out of SULL Mona Lisa Reward ET. The quality just kept coming. The Long Look calves are special and this one will be one to watch. The dam’s side of the pedigree has been top of the line. A blue roan, polled April 2, 2022 daughter of Colburn Primo and out of CF V8 Mona Lisa Smile 526. Another of the top Plus heifers to sell. She has a super strong pedigree. The Primo progeny have consistently been in the winners circle and this mating has produced the last two Plus Show Heifers of the Year. Purchased by Rick Lawrence of Wilkinson, Indiana. $51,000 - Lot 3C - Open Heifer - CF Mona Lisa 270 SOL ET. A roan, horned March 18, 2022 daughter of CF Solution X ET and out of SULL Mona Lisa Reward ET. The Solution progeny continue to be in demand for their overall look and design. This one has all the parts to make a great show heifer. Purchased by Dustin Taylor of Joshua, Texas. $50,000 - Lot 2B - Open Heifer - CF Mona Lisa 2101 UH X ET. A RWM, polled May 1, 2022 daughter of CF S/F Upper Hand X ET and out of SULL Mona Lisa Reward ET. One of the youngest heifers in this sale and one of the best. She is very complete and fault free.
