Stephen Epstein attended a local high school in his home city of San Francisco, California. Following the completion of his high school studies, he went on to attend and graduate from the University of Southern California. While enrolled at the prestigious institution, he was prominent in Alpha Epsilon Pi and the school's Thematic Option Honors Program. The University of Southern California first opened its doors in 1880 and is now the oldest private research university in the Golden State. Epstein is also a former student of the prestigious Branson School in Ross, California, and San Francisco's Cathedral School for Boys. Branson is a highly regarded coeducational, college-preparatory day school. Meanwhile, the Cathedral School for Boys is renowned for its dynamic lessons, spirited dialogue, and intentional character-building.
