December  at  a  Glance  ...kinda  more  than  a  glance. Fifteen days. December is a short month with a lot of events and distractions for students, parents and staff. We feel a lot of pressure to be on track with our pacing and worry bout what the break will do to the long term memory of what we have taught. Plan well. Take an extra step in planning. Think about the activities and support you provide to ensure that the skills and strategies that we teach are retained in a way that can be recalled and applied. Think about

who needs it a different way. Is it engaging and compelling for your students. Home lives are stressful during the holidays for all of us. Good stress? Maybe, but stress all the same. Teach with gratitude and appreciation rather than expectation. We are blessed to have the opportunity to impact these young lives. Each day is an opportunity to be THE DAY that Engages, incites them to Explore, Inspires and entices them to Lead full lives.
