The Veterans Law Institute serves as a center for student veterans and pro bono activities for military members and veterans. The Veterans Advocacy Clinic provides legal help for active-duty military and veterans wounded in their service. Stetson Law actively participates in the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship Program to help reduce law school tuition and fees for eligible veterans.
Designed for students who want to advance their studies in either private or public international law, this competitive program offers students the opportunity to learn from highly respected faculty in their field specializing in international human rights, international arbitration, and international business.
The Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy
With intensive curriculum focusing on bankruptcy, in-house practice, intellectual property, and more, this concentration is designed to hone practical experience in business law. It gives students a sharp focus on areas including commercial law, taxation, and international business. Students receive close mentoring from the faculty and can utilize Stetson Law’s partnerships with numerous relevant companies.

From state-level wildlife protections to international wetlands treaties, this program fosters deep knowledge of environmental policy. Students have access to distinguished environmental professionals who visit campus to participate in the Edward and Bonnie Foreman Biodiversity Lecture Series, the Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition, and others.
Social Justice Advocacy
Stetson Law leverages its strong advocacy core to prepare students to deal directly with significant social justice issues in civil or criminal law. Through specific coursework, mentorship from faculty members with expertise in social justice advocacy, experiential learning through programs such as Stetson’s Innocence Initiative, and more, students will gain extensive first-hand experience advocating for a better world.
A nationally renowned program founded by elder-law pioneers, this program gives students hands-on experience in a growing area of law. The Civil Elder Law Clinic and Elder and Disability Law Externship offer firsthand experience, and students can sharpen their knowledge as editors of The Journal of Aging, Law & Policy , which explores the legal complexities that stem from aging.
