BUFFALO LAKE
Located between Stettler and Camrose, it’s the perfect place for family weekend escapes! Enjoy the scenery or have some fun in the sun. You will find facilities for picnics, swimming, boating, golfing, fishing, and more! Rochon Sands Provincial Park, on the southeast side of the lake, offers a public boat launch, great camping facilities and the best public access to the lake. Buffalo Lake, with the surrounding woodland, provides homes for many native species. Walking and biking trails wind around the park. A public beach is maintained, though not supervised.
P&H GRAIN
The P&H (Parrish & Heimbecker) Elevator in Stettler was built in the 1920’s. The elevator handled many thousands of tonnes of grain over its many years of service (closing in 2003). The feed mill was added in the late 1940’s and served many farmers in grinding and mixing their livestock feeds. This is one of the last elevator/feed mill complexes left in Alberta.
