How to create a Google Plus Business Profile
Google Plus One has rolled out the public business pages for promotion. Though there isn’t much that you can fiddle around with the business page in Google Plus One, you can still get the early advantage of creating the page and getting organized for a big reap. Customization of the pages is very limited and all we could do is to custom design the image timeline to display as a header. Here are the steps to create the business page: Login to your Google Plus One profile at the url https://plus.google.com . Everyone in this planet would have a Google account so this step is a breeze.
Once Logged in, you would land on your personal profile. This is similar to the facebook personal profiles. Now you are about to create a business page adhered to your personal profile. Now towards the lower right (See Image) you would see the link to create the Google Plus business page.
Now you have options to choose. Select the best suitable category in which your Google Plus business page would fall in to. Local businesses can hugely benefit out of this as this would help a lot in local business promotion too.
Now let’s create a business page for a company. You would be asked with “Page Name”, “Website” and category. Pretty simple! Google has no word about the vanity url yet, however, be wise to choose the page name. In future, the page name you enter may be automatically displayed as the vanity url.
Time for a little SEO and prettying up. The next step is to add tags to the profile and a cool profile picture. There isn’t much you can do with the profile picture now. We just simply uploaded our logo
This step is a cool feature. Now you can invite your friends to join. The best part is, the invitation would be displayed as coming from your personal profile and not from the page as in facebook. This would really encourage your existing friends under your Google profile to join your business page. We really expected a facebook connect here as we have most of our fans in facebook
