Introducing 8 Sharpe Crescent, Wainuiomata

What great value for money! Well presented and with great street appeal - this house offers spacious living, three double bedrooms, a large private garden and great sun! The house has been well maintained and is built of weather board with a concrete tile roof and aluminium joinery. It also has an alarm system. Drive onto the section of 809m2 to the double carport near the front door. From the front door the spacious living room is to the left. This room offers plenty of space for seating and has a tiled fireplace. There is also a Daiken heat pump to keep the room warm and cosy on those cold winter days. Windows look out to the safe & secure back garden and a sliding aluminium door extends living to an outside deck with steps to the garden.

Spacious lounge and dining room with a pleasant view out to the garden

The dining room flows off the lounge and it too has a large window with a very pleasant view out to the garden and hills beyond. There is plenty of room for dining room furniture. A servery opens the dining room to the kitchen. A glass sliding door means it can be closed if so desired. The kitchen is light and airy and has plenty of cupboards, drawers and bench space. A large window over the stainless sink looks out to the garden – the perfect spot to watch the children play in the back garden while you cook the meal. A Fisher and Paykel electric oven and Xpelair complete the package. Just next to the kitchen is the laundry with a tub and space for a washing machine and dryer.

IMMACULATE 3 BEDROOM HOME

The suburb of Wainuiomata Wainuiomata is located within the city limits of Lower Hutt. It is just 16kms southeast of the Lower Hutt CBD and has a population just under 17,000. It is separated from Lower Hutt by the Eastern Hutt Hills. There is a very good road system over the hills making access easy. In the early days the town’s economy was based on timber milling from the forests of Wainuiomata River. There originally was a flax mill but it was closed as it was not economically viable. With the clearing of the forests sheep and dairy farming became an important part of the local economy. The real growth however came when young couple moved into Wainuiomata after the World War 2 – attracted by affordable housing. There are three hills that surround the valley and reduce the wind, so there are lower minimums in winter but higher maximums in summer than in Wellington. Wainuiomata enjoys a strong sense of community with a large range of clubs and sports clubs. It is known as the origin of many sport stars including All Backs Piri Weepu and Tana Umaga. The town is well catered for with a range of shops. It is also just a 10 minute drive to the centre of Lower Hutt and the many shops and amenities it has to offer. There are many tracks and walkways to enjoy in the area, including nearby Orongorongo Valley which is accessed through the Wainuiomata Valley and very popular with Wellingtonians in the weekends.
