NEW BENEFIT FOR ACTIVE* NC NATIONAL GUARD SOLDIERS AND AIRMEN Effective 1 May 2014, the North Carolina National Guard Association is providing every active* North Carolina National Guard member $1,000 in life insurance coverage. What do you have to do for this benefit? Absolutely nothing! Are you already an insured member of the NC National Guard Association? If so, the $1,000 will be added automatically to your policy — if you are insured for $10,000, you will have $11,000 in life insurance coverage, $20,000 you will have $21,000, etc. *Coverage is for everyone that is active in the NCNG — member or non-member of the NC National Guard Association; as long as you are a member in good standing with the NC National Guard (Army and Air Guard) you will have the $1,000 coverage. Not a member of the NCNGA? We hope you will join the Association either as an insured member, or as a life or annual member. Your beneficiary will be whomever you have listed on your NCNGA Group Life Insurance policy or if not a member of the NCNGA, your DEERS information will be used. (Unfortunately, this policy is not applicable for dependents, spouses; inactive or separated NCNG members.)
