Awakening the Next Generation and Equipping Them to Achieve Their Best and Highest Purpose.

W

hitefield Academy, Pronounced “Whitfield”, takes its name from George Whitefield, the eighteenthcentury English evangelist closely associated with the Great Awakening in North America. Whitefield is remembered for his courageous and influential proclamation of the Gospel across denominational, geographic, and socioeconomic lines. Even as a very young man Whitefield was able to accomplish and contribute much to the shaping of his generation and those that followed. Like its namesake, Whitefield Academy is committed to providing excellence, integrity, and responsibility in all areas of life, and awakening future generations to the highest order of academic achievement and leadership. Whitefield Academy was founded as a school for Christian families – who desire a rigorous academic program, and are committed to

excellence in a college preparatory program. Whirefield encomposes three schools (Lower, Middle and Upper) and serves students from PreK-4 through 12th grade. Ultimately, the goal of each school is to attain noteworthy excellence that is demonstrated in the lives of students with a unique integration of traits that is a differentiator: strong intellect, Christ-centered character, and a well-rounded education.

Stong Intellect Whitefield Academy furthers intellectual pursuit beyond basic knowledge - to wisdom and understanding. Students are instructed to think and reason, read closely, write persuasively and solve challenging and complex problems.

Christ-Centered Character Strong intellect hols little value without authentic Christ-centered

character. Whitefield cultivates this type of character by bolstering a vibrant community of like-minded families and educators to raise a generation of leaders to impact the world. Such communities are rare, yet vitally important to in an increasingly toxic society

Well-Rounded Education While a school’s core business focuses on developing the intellect, a school that fails to provide a wellrounded experience is incomplete, as experience drives character. Students at Whitefield discover, develop, and maximize a wide variety of opportunities through relationships among a diverse student body. Practical applications of “others ahead of self ” provide an unlimited path for growth.

OUR MISSION: Whitefield Academy is a Christ-centered college preparatory school that exists to bolster Christian families in rearing young people who go on to college and life with a passion for learning, for others ahead of self, and for the living and active Jesus.

Minds. Shaping Tender Hearts.

F

rom the moment you step onto our campus, it is clear that Whitefield Academy is a special place. A place of belonging. From the way the students, staff and faculty relate to each other, to the social gathers and service projects. We are a covenant community that genuinely cares for one another.

THE FAITH ADVANTAGE

We are unapologetically Christian, and you will find a refreshing lack of pretense. We are a place where faculty and families support one another to raise children and nurture Godly leaders. We are not the largest school in town. Yet smaller numbers mean more opportunities for classroom interaction, mentoring from faculty and a social network where students can build lasting friendships.

AWAKENING THE NEXT GENERATION

Whitefield equips and prepares young people with a unique integration of strong intellect, Christ-centered character, and a well-rounded education. Students thrive in mind, body and spirit, and experience the true joy of learning. All of our students engage in a rigorous academic curriculum that is designed to prepare them for college and for life. We are winners. In both athletics and academics. But we understand that winning doesn’t mean leaving others behind and humility and wisdom are values to be cherished. We emphasize serving others ahead of self,

and encourage students to explore their God-given gifts and reach their best potential and highest purpose.

MORE THAN JUST A GREAT SCHOOL

Graduates go into the world with the tools and the passion to live enriched lives with unlimited opportunities for growth. We are not boasting. That is our history. And that is the tradition and legacy that is Whitefield Academy.

PARENTS SUPPORT THE STUDENT BODY

One of the strongest facets of a Whitefield education is the community of parents which supports and encourages the students individually and as a student body. Parents at Whitefield connect to the Whitefield community through various outlets, including: • Biennial auction (volunteers) • PACK Parenting groups • PackBacker Booster Club (volunteers) • Parent Prayer group • Whitefield Parents Association (volunteers)

CARPOOLS MAKE AN EASY COMMUTE

Many families choose to carpool to Whitefield. The Buckhead Shuttle is a well-organized parent group that arranges transportation for students who live in the Buckhead area.
