Outside of the Big Dipper, I’ve never been able to see any. You’re telling me that’s Taurus? I don’t know what kind of bulls you’ve been looking at. But constellations are also fascinating. The night sky is a bookshelf! Ancient Greeks preserved folklore and stories in the stars. And somehow I didn’t receive my constellation library card. Instead, I’ve had to make my own. Look to your left! It’s a boogie night sky! It wasn’t until my time at Miami Ad School that I realized this wasn’t a quirky camping joke. It was a way to live life. By connecting individual facts, people and experiences to one another, we create meaning. We make clarity. We build story. I’ve been seeing constellations ever since. So, whether I’m star gazing, working through a client problem or considering my next career move, I’ll just keep connecting dots in my own way.
iography B Features Editor of the Duluth High School newspaper: the Catalyst. Graduated the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a Master’s degree in Advertising. Worked for three years at Ketchum PR in Atlanta as an account, media and creative team member for the agency’s consumer-facing clients. Looking to make myself a perfect asset, I enrolled in the Account Planning Bootcamp at the Miami Ad School. Three months, eleven professors, four projects, and one client pitch later… I’m armed to the teeth. What comes next is a question mark.

Creative References As a Copywriter, my job hinges on knowing what the goals are of the client, the insight that stays true to that business goal and the angles by which we can penetrate that space. No other strategist seemed to grasp the concept of the creative brief as Steven did. They were formatted in a way that was easy to comprehend and build upon. Steven also did an excellent job working with me as our creative developed. He made sure not to make the same mistakes other strategists did. He knew how to stay within the bounds of strategy, what guidance was necessary and what would was necessary to omit as it would come off as creative. The worst part of my time working with Steven was that we worked together at the beginning of the quarter. I was spoiled by his expertise, so that when I began working with other strategists, the bar was never met again. Some people are meant to garden, to paint, to orchestrate musicals on Broadway. Steven is meant to be a strategist. Max Mager, Copywriter Steven Coulombe is extremely competent and detail-oriented. He's one of the best planners that I have worked with. He is great at synthesizing information and breaking it down into nuggets of wisdom that I can use as a springboard for creative work. As a creative who is accustomed to doing her own strategy, I find Steven's work to be refreshing and enlightening. He discovers truths and insights that I'm not sure I would have stumbled upon on my own. Above all, he is not intrusive. He doesn't step on any toes. He does his work, plans the strategy, and then takes a few steps back so that the creatives can digest the information and get to work. In other words, he has a professional yet laidback approach to working with creatives. He does not need to lead us in a creative direction. He sparks creativity. I would work with him again and again.
Mya Passmore, Copywriter Working with Steven has been such a great experience that has made me a better creative. Here's why. No matter what the project or the team make-up, Steven quickly finds the most effective role with his skill set to contribute in the best capacity. He nails it when giving the creative team a solid springboard from his briefs and lays out incredible strategic set-ups, making it effortless for us to knock it out of the park when presenting work to clients. Working with a planner like Steven has given me the room to become a more strategic creative and has set the standard for the type of team member and leader I want on my team. Kendra Little, Art Director Steven has a depth of understanding and sense of awareness that sets the stage for a truly stellar campaign. Providing clarity is his super power. The passion and dedication is apparent in everything that he does. But most importantly he is kind and a pleasure to work with. I would hire him if I were you. Landon Taylor, Art Director
