He thinks that he’s found a new friend, but soon finds himself trapped in a place where he doesn’t want to be. While this book is only a story, this is a real situation that happens to labor trafficking victims every day. In creating the story of Charm, my goal was to empower young children, and to teach them about their natural rights to have freedom and to be respected. By introducing these ideas at an early age, it is hopeful that they will grow up with a greater sense of respect for themselves and for others.
