ARCA Gold Training Awards Winners for 2021

At the Association’s AGM in October the winners of the ARCA Gold Training Award for 2020/2021 were announced.

Congratulations to the 41 member companies who achieved this award and to the candidates for achieving the high average scores required.

“The last 18/24 months have been challenging for all, so it’s great to see so many of our members gain the ARCA Gold Training Award this year,” commented Satish Patel, Training Manager for ARCA.

“Our development and delivery of remote training courses was very well received and continues to be an important service, and when we reinstated centre-based training in June last year, it was well supported by members.

We are very proud that, in a difficult time, we were able to continue to provide training for our members’ operatives, supervisors and managers, so they have been able to keep their knowledge up to date.”

This award acknowledges the companies who have trained over eight operatives and/ or supervisors with ARCA during the twelvemonth period, and the candidates who achieved an average score of 92.5% or above.

These members are now able to use the ARCA Gold Training Award 2021 logo, recognising their achievement.

Operative of the Year Award

This year ARCA is pleased to announce two winners of the Ross Turner Memorial Award for ‘Operative of the Year 2020/2021’.

Congratulations to David Booker of LAR Ltd and Mitchell Hartrop of Phoenix (Leicester) Ltd on achieving this award.

“This award is in recognition of outstanding performance, as they scored 100% in their refresher training course and in the same year gained a Level 2 NVQ competency qualification. Congratulations to both David and Mitchell,” commented Satish Patel, Training Manager for ARCA.

The awards were announced at the Association’s Annual General Meeting in London on 8th October 2021, and presented to Mitchell Hartrop, with David Booker unable to attend.

Supervisor of the Year Award

The Association is pleased to announce the winner of the Roy Bent Memorial Award for ‘Supervisor of the Year 2020/2021’. Congratulations to Aivaras Ivor Michnevicius of Alltask Ltd on achieving this award. “I’m delighted for Aivaras to gain this award as he achieved 100% in his refresher training course and gained a Level 3 NVQ competency qualification in the last two years,” commented Satish Patel, Training Manager for ARCA. “This year I am also pleased to be able to award a commendation to Fred Pienaar, a site supervisor at Active Environmental Ltd.” The awards were announced at the Association’s Annual General Meeting in London on 8th October 2021.

ARCA National Training Award Winner 2021

Congratulations to this year’s ARCA National Training Award Winner, Asbestech Ltd, who were recognised at the Association’s Annual General Meeting.

This award was achieved by Asbestech training 30 operatives and supervisors with ARCA, and these candidates obtained the highest average score across all candidates trained by ARCA in the last twelve months.

“Congratulations to the team at Asbestech on receiving this award,” comments Satish Patel, Training Manager for ARCA.

“The operative and supervisors scored an impressive average of 94.6% on their training. A great achievement for all.”

ATaC National Training Award Winner 2021

For the sixth consecutive year Riverside Environmental Ltd are the winners of the ATaC National Training Award.

“Congratulations to the team at Riverside for gaining this award again,” commented Satish Patel, Training Manager for ARCA.

“To achieve this award Riverside had the highest number of candidate passes on ATaC delivered qualifications during 2020/2021. This is a great testimony to the business’s commitment of staff development and competency.”
