It marked the Celtic festival of Samhain, a time of the year in which it was believed that there was a portal from the world of the living to the world of the dead. The seriousness has moderated in present times. In past decades Halloween was considered a “kids” holiday, primarily centered around trick or treating... More recently adults have started to enjoy it as well for parties and socializing.... Flowers and floral designs can really contribute to creating an atmosphere and setting for this holiday... Colors For a mild Halloween treatment, let’s first consider the choice of colors for the arrangement. The use of fall colors, oranges, yellows, reds, etc. automatically makes this vase arrangement appropriate for this time of year...... Obviously altering the colors of this design differently could also make it more seasonally appropriate for Christmas, spring, etc..... The major point is that with the color palette illustrated in this photo, the design as shown here is quite appropriate for Halloween.....

Halloween Creepy Crawlers !!!! Want to add an additional level of Halloween Fun?? Consider getting some of the various artificial Halloween bug accessories that are easily found in outlets during the fall season. Plastic/rubber spiders, and all kinds of gross but inexpensive toy creepy crawlers are easily found at a huge range of outlets from early fall right up to the holiday! These can be placed loosely on your florals for easy removal in case family members get grossed out...

Here is an additional neat trick that you can use to make your vase arrangement perfect for Halloween..... Let’s take some of the artificial cobwebs that you can easily get at this time of the year.... It looks almost like cotton, but needs to be stretched..... Start on one side of the arrangement and gradually.....
