Welcome to THE COPENHAGEN BOOK

Copenhagen is full of colourful buildings, Scandinavian architecture, beautiful nature, delicious foods and fascinating attractions . A mantra for many, the Danes love to “hygge”, which is a feeling of contentment and enjoying oneself with close friends and family members .

Having been an expat myself for more than 20 years, I have always tried to recreate a “hyggelig” ambiance wherever I go, but nothing beats being back in my native Denmark and exploring the capital all over again .

I know first-hand how it is to move to a new city, and navigating the do’s and dont’s when settling down in an unfamiliar environment can be overwhelming . The Copenhagen Book can be used as a tool to make it a more seamless transition, or as a tourist guide when you set out to explore what Denmark has to offer .

Do you need advice on how to make Denmark your home? Check out our directory and find an extensive section on practical information .

“Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale”, Hans Christian Andersen, children’s writer and Denmark native, famously wrote .
