The first idea for the Snowracer came in 1965 from a handmade steering sledge called “BOGGI” that STIGA started to produce and sell in 1944. A high quality steering sledge with a robust metal frame and plastic skis was created, the Snowracer was born. The first Snowracers were seen in stores in 1972 and have since then continuously been developed and re-designed to better fit the changing needs. Today, the SX and Curve models are made with the highest quality standards to match the increased demands of the steep and snowy slopes, whether you are a beginner or a pro. in Sweden and Norway children can learn how to turn, brake and control the snowracer in a safe way. The name of this program is Boblandet by STIGA. When the children have trained and made a test they will get a diploma and a driving license as a proof of their skill. You will find Boblandet by STIGA at following ski resorts.
