CW STONEKING His authentic, early-blues sound, intrigues and captivates - leaving no doubt this inimitable man IS the real thing. Now, with the release of his third album, ‘Gon Boogaloo, and it’s first single, ‘Get On The Floor’ - a dancehall drenched, rock’n’roll blues swing tune, CW is hitting the road on a national tour. NAHKO AND MEDICINE FOR THE PEOPLE (USA)
Oregon-native Nahko, born a mix of Apache, Puerto Rican, and Filipino cultures and adopted into an American family, suffered an identity crisis from an early age. But the unifying power of music entered his life as a healing remedy when he started playing piano at age six. Armed with his newfound talent, he set out to bridge the cultural gaps dividing his own psyche and began producing a public musical journal of his journey toward personal, spiritual and communal healing. Thus, Medicine for the People was born. Passenger - Whispers Australian Tour
Presented by the Cairns Choral Society. The story, Legally Blonde the Musical is based on the very successful movie starring Reese Witherspoon. Composer and Lyricist - Laurence O’Keefe & Neil Benjamin Sorority star Elle Woods doesn’t take “no” for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone “serious”, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style.
Whispers is Brighton-born singer/songwriter Passenger’s sixth studio album. Its oldest songs date back to before the mayhem began. Although he didn’t know it when he wrote it, the title track captures the chaos in his head when “Let Her Go” started to snowball. Even the songs most recently written have evolved by being played live dozens of times, at shows and on streets everywhere from Amsterdam to Australia.
