I am sincerely happy to welcome you to the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences. As you might already know, we are a different kind of an academy, having all public security professionals trained under one roof – from the police
WELCOME
DEAR FRIENDS,
and border guard to customs, rescue and prisons.
have succeeded in placing training of all these institutions into one university. So, we consider ourselves also as a managerial success story helping these public security services to know each other better to provide better services to the citizens. It is clear that the modern society has redefined the threats the public security institutions face nowadays. That has brought also us seeking for cooperation and partnership all around the world. No-one is smart enough these days to be ready for everything. We can build our societies secure only together, studying together and later – making the lives of our citizens together as secure as we can. I hope the knowledge and contacts you gather from our Academy will help us on that path.

The EASS has worked out a specific module for all Study in the EASS Erasmus+ students obtaining a degree in the field of in autumn semester internal security. The international module comprises subjects taught in foreign language. The subjects cover the entire field of internal security, and give the foreign students a highly welcomed opportunity to study among our own Estonian students and integrate to the EASS's social community. The EASS is a unique higher education institution in Europe where one can major in all spheres of internal security. Police and Border Guard College, Rescue College, College of Justice, Financial College and master studies in the sphere of internal security offer subjects that comprise a necessary whole for working in the area of internal security. Managing a smaller group of students has given us an opportunity to give our foreign students a more personal and high-quality approach that you don’t see in big universities.
