This month we caught up with Blaise Ballinger the Parts Manager at Village Motors. They have been a participating GetGenuine dealer for 10 years.

Tell us about the history of your business

Village Motors is a north Brisbane GWM Haval, Nissan, Renault, GMSV and Holden Dealer offering services of sales of new & used cars, finance and insurance, service, parts and accessories. Village Motors has been servicing the local community, winning multiple awards and delivering the very best in customer service for over 51 years.

What is something your business does differently?

We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction & aim to make a difference by doing the right thing by the customers we deal with, the company we work for & the community we are located in.

How many staff do you employ?

Our Village family currently comprises more than 85 team members, 15 of which are in the parts department.

What is your secret to success?

It’s a classic saying that you are only as good as your team but it’s so true, I believe success is driven by giving staff the tools, training & encouragement required to create in them a passion to provide great customer service.

What is the business working on at the moment... new brands, promotions or upcoming events?

GWM Haval is one our newest franchises & has been a very successful investment. Vehicle sales are doing extremely well as they are proving to be reliable, innovative & the best value for money. Ausloans Moreton Bay is another new addition to the Village Motors family offering loans for business, personal, cash flow, vehicle finance & more.

We are currently expanding our ACDelco range of products to provide a more comprehensive range at competitive prices for our mechanical trade. These include oil filters, air filters, fuel filters, spark plugs, drive belts, batteries & more.

Van Gisbergen welcomes new team mate to Triple Eight Race Engineering

Triple Eight Race Engineering has announced that Broc Feeney will join Shane van Gisbergen for the 2022 Australia Supercars Championship season, replacing Jamie Whincup at Red Bull Ampol Racing.

The 18-year-old has signed a multi-year deal with the team which will see him replace the outgoing seven-time series champion, Whincup, and join 2016 Supercars Champion and 2020 Bathurst 1000 winner Shane van Gisbergen as teammate. “It’s a massive change for next year having Broc join the team for next season and beyond, which is a pretty exciting addition,” commented van Gisbergen. “The team, which includes myself, believes in Broc. He’s immersed himself in the team so well this year, and he’s shown everything he can and done all the right things to show that he deserves to be in that car next year. Feeney currently leads the Super2 Series, winning four of the six races so far in 2021. The former Super3 Series champion and driver of the team’s 2021 Bathurst 1000 wildcard entry says he’s thrilled to have been given the opportunity to replace a champion of the sport with Triple Eight.

“It’s an amazing opportunity for me to be replacing ‘The GOAT’, Jamie Whincup. It’s so surreal for me at the moment, but I think it will start to kick in at the start of next year,” he said.

“To be aligned with this amazing team in my Super2 season and to be promoted into the main series is a dream come true. To be honest, I always wanted to get to Supercars, but to be behind the wheel of a Red Bull Ampol Racing machine is pretty exciting.”
