JENNIFER BARANELLO, '05 Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, BSN, MSN Jennifer Baranello is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. In this role she cares for women and men recovering from breast cancer surgery and is responsible for overseeing their long-term care. Her career in healthcare began in 2009 when she graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). From there she worked at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, NY for three years caring for oncology patients in the acute care setting before accepting a position at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in 2012. At MSKCC she worked as a registered nurse caring for patients across the spectrum of their cancer diagnoses, ranging from surgery to end-of-life care. After working for several years as an RN, she earned her Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) at Wagner College in 2017, graduating cum laude. Jennifer has worked as a nurse practitioner at MSKCC for the last 3 years in both the acute care and outpatient settings. She is also an adjunct professor at Wagner College, teaching nursing students in their undergraduate studies. During her time at St. Joseph Hill, Jennifer was an active member of the Track and Field Team.

VICTORIA GRANT, '14 Cardiothoracic and Surgical ICU Nurse, BSN, RN, and CRNA Student Victoria has three years of experience managing cardiothoracic and surgical ICU patients. Currently, she works as a critical care nurse at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York, NY. Victoria earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Villanova University. During her time as an undergraduate, Victoria was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the international honor society of nursing: Sigma Theta Tau, Alpha Nu Chapter. After graduating magna cum laude from Villanova in 2018, Victoria began working as an ICU nurse at NYULMC, where she still works today. As a RN, Victoria serves as a senior-staff nurse, charge nurse, preceptor, and member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. In April 2020, Victoria facilitated the development of Covid-19 ECMO ICU, where she organized ICU training blueprints for RNs, and educated RNs about ECMO, ventilator settings, vasoactive medications, and cardiopulmonary arrest protocols. Since returning to her home unit, Victoria has continued to grow in her role as senior-staff nurse. In June 2021, Victoria will be leaving the bedside to obtain her Doctor of Nursing practice (DNP) in Anesthesia at Rutgers University.

LAUREN (STAZZONE) MARRONE, '03 Clinical Nurse- Medical Oncology/Infusion, RN, BSN, OCN Lauren (Stazzone) Marrone is a proud graduate of both St. Joseph Hill Academy High School and Elementary School. After graduating with St. Joseph Hill Academy’s Class of 2003 Hilltoppers, Lauren attended Pace University in Pleasantville, New York earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Pace’s Lienhard School of Nursing in 2008. Lauren received the distinguished honor of speaking on behalf of her graduating class at The Pinning Ceremony- a long lived tradition welcoming new nurses embarking on their chosen career path. Lauren’s nursing career began in 2009 as a registered nurse in the medical surgical/ oncology inpatient setting at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York. Lauren provided direct nursing care to adult patients admitted with cancer diagnoses and acute medical conditions in addition to general medical surgical patients. After four years at the bedside, Lauren transferred to the outpatient setting working as an infusion nurse at Richmond University Medical Center’s Ambulatory Infusion Center and was appointed Assistant Nurse Manager of this department shortly after transferring. Lauren collaborated with a multidisciplinary team daily while managing the workflow of patient care in this setting. Lauren implemented strategies promoting patient safety, coordination of patient care, and quality patient care. In 2016, Lauren received oncology nursing certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. During her nine years at Richmond University Medical Center, Lauren gained invaluable clinical knowledge from both her inpatient and outpatient experiences while working alongside a team of expert nurses and physicians dedicated to their field. Eager to expand her knowledge and skills in cancer care and apply the experiences attained thus far, Lauren joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s outpatient regional site located in Monmouth County, New Jersey in 2017. Lauren has been working at MSKCC as an Infusion nurse for the past three years. Lauren acts as part of a multidisciplinary team providing primary nursing care to medical oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, and/or supportive care on an outpatient basis. Lauren administers chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive care, performs patient assessments, provides symptom management and educates the patient and family throughout various stages of their treatment. Lauren lives in New Jersey with her husband James and their two daughters, Rita and Pearl.

SARAH PERRY, '11 Psychiatric Nurse, RN, ADN, BSN and MSN student Sarah Perry is currently a Registered Nurse in Red Bank, NJ. She specializes in psychiatric nursing although she completed a year of med/surg nursing. She is currently in the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Master’s degree program at The George Washington University. Sarah obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Manhattanville College in 2014. She then went on to become an EMT on Staten Island while attending nursing school at St. Paul’s where she obtained an Associate's Degree in Nursing on Staten Island. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Grand Canyon University. At St. Joseph Hill Academy, Sarah was a member of the Volleyball team, a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and an avid dancer.
