The next evolution of Panama City Beach’s iconic Pier Park® shopping and entertainment district is coming to life. Pier Park City Center development plans on the 80-acre site aim to elevate an already iconic destination with unique entertainment concepts, in-demand restaurants, complementary retail uses and visitor accommodations for those looking to vacation at the center of activity. Topgolf has already planted its flag as the first anchor entertainment concept with plans to open in 2025.
Already featuring nearly one million square feet of shopping and dining space just steps from the world’s most beautiful beaches, the Pier Park lifestyle center has been a ‘must-do’ on vacation itineraries since its inception in 2008. The creation of the Pier Park North® shopping and dining district in 2014 added 320,000 square feet of complementary retail and dining uses to support the area’s booming year-round population.
Since 2020, 500* hotel rooms have opened within walking distance, increasing foot traffic and enhancing the family-friendly atmosphere all within an earshot of the gentle waves of the Gulf of Mexico. Some of the Southeast’s largest annual festivals and events such as Gulf Coast Jam, the New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop and Seabreeze Jazz Festival inject fresh energy throughout the year and further cement the Pier Park shopping and entertainment district as one of the most popular gathering spots in Northwest Florida.

Topgolf
Panama City Beach is set to elevate its entertainment scene as Topgolf makeS this vibrant city its next destination.
Nestled in the Pier Park City Center development adjacent to the bustling Pier Park retail center, the new Topgolf facility is set to open Summer 2025 and will employ roughly 275-300* people. This will be the first Topgolf venue in Northwest Florida and the 10th in the state.

Proposed plans for the Topgolf facility at Pier Park City Center include a two-level venue with 74 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays spanning two levels. Each bay will have lounge-type furniture or high-top tables where groups can cheer (or heckle) the other players. The venue will be equipped with Topgolf’s Toptracer technology, which traces each golf ball’s flight path, distance and other metrics.
The Pier Park City Center location will include a full-service restaurant and bar manned by executive chefs, a 22-foot video wall, more than 140 HDTVs, an outdoor patio, music and yearround family-friendly programming. Enhanced, deluxe bays and an outdoor area with yard games will also offer the prime spot for team outings, family gatherings, business meetings or really anything players are looking to celebrate.
