SCHEDULE
Dear Parents and Students, After making it to the WCAC championship and DCSAA semifinals last year, the boys’ basketball team is poised for another competitive season. This year, the team is led by three seniors – Ishmael Leggett, John Square, Jr. and John Wilson – who will bring valuable experience and leadership to a talented team of underclassmen. Watching these student-athletes continue to grow as a team will be an exciting season highlight. Exemplifying the strong work ethic and team spirit associated with a Lasallian school, these young men are determined to achieve success on the court and in their studies. The persistent effort of these players during their practices makes it clear that they are succeeding where it matters most: in commitment to their goal, dedication to their team and in service to others with compassion. Coach Behan is proud of how well the student-athletes play with and for one another, and we are proud of how the players and coaching staff create a cohesive group as they serve each other, their school and the St. John’s community.
2
Highlights of the team’s competitive schedule include the Charm City Challenge at Loyola University Maryland, the National Hoopfest in Hyattsville, the DMV Tip-Off Classic in Upper Marlboro and the Myrtle Beach Beach Ball Classic during Christmas break. The team also looks forward to The Shepherd Foundation game against Georgetown Prep. We thank the coaches, alumni and families of the athletes for their support and dedication to our St. John’s team, and we wish Coach Behan, his staff and the 2019-2020 team another great season. Go Cadets,
