How to Schedule an Inspection in ACA

ACCELA – CITIZEN’S ACCESS PERMIT PORTAL

You can schedule an inspection up to eight (8) business days in advance using your ACA account.

What you need to know:

• You may schedule an inspection only after the permit has been issued. If your permit does not show the status as Issued, an inspection cannot be scheduled at this time.

• You may only schedule inspections on permits that are associated with your ACA account. The permit should have your Contractor’s License or Applicant Information connected to it or the option to schedule an inspection will not be available to you.

Once you have logged in, click on “Construction

Permits”

Either choose the permit number you want to schedule from the list shown; or, • Use the General Search function to locate the permit number

Once you click inside the record, click the blue arrow to the right of “Record Info”

• Select “Inspections” from the dropdown menu displayed

Click “Schedule or Request an Inspection”

Choose the inspection you want to schedule from the list provided and Continue • Choose the date you would like your inspection to take place (*available dates will be in blue –dates in gray are not available for scheduling at this time)

On the next page, you will verify inspection location and your contact information. Make any changes if needed and continue.

1. Please read the information provided and confirm your selection.

2. If you need to leave any notes for the inspector such as time of day requests, etc., click “Include Additional Notes”

3. Click “Finish”

You should receive a screen like this if you have done all of these steps correctly.

To “view details” of your inspection request, “reschedule” or “cancel” your inspection request, click the blue arrow to the right of “Actions”
