In general, the year-to-date number of reported cases of enteric illnesses are slightly higher when compared with the median of the past five years. Notably, cases of salmonellosis (37 vs. 31 cases, 19% increase) and yersiniosis (6 vs. 4 cases, 50% increase) are higher when compared with the year-to-date median of the past five years. One thousand five hundred and ninety-seven (1,597) cases of COVID-19 were reported to Saint Louis County Department of Public Health (DPH) in April 2023. This is a 42.3% decrease from the 2,770 cases reported in March 2023

GIARDIA: There were two new cases of Giardia reported in April 2023. During the previous five years, the median number of cases has ranged from one to three per month.
