Notes on the data:

This report includes confirmed and probable cases; suspect cases are not included. These data are provisional as of 4/3/2023. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….…………………………….…………………………………......

In general, the year-to-date number of reported cases of enteric illnesses are slightly higher when compared with the median of the past five years. With only three months of data, however, it is too early in the year to assess any meaningful trends across years. Notably, there was a cluster of related shigellosis cases in January which contributed to a higher-than-average number of cases.
