HP TouchPad Review Just in time for summer fun and strategically timed to cater to the schools out crowd. Hewlett Packard is about to execute a coup de grace on the competition. The size and touted splendor alone of the Touch Pad is tantamount to a trip to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Can you just imagine all those delicious assortments of widgets and app features? This devises webOS advertises a spacious workspace and activity card that makes organization easy. There is to be seamless movement between cards. You should be able to pause in the middle of a game, access email, check your calendar, and then switch back to the game without closing anything. Simply start typing an email message without the necessity of launching an app. You're supposed to be able to find information from different sources all in one view. Be able to access photos from Facebook®, Snapfish, and Photobucket all in one place. It is advertised that that the HP Touchpad includes essential productivity apps right out of the box. You should have the ability to browse the full web at unmatched speed with support for the latest web technologies, including a beta of Adobe Flash Player 10.1, as well as print wirelessly to networked HP printers. Engage in games, transfer songs, and listen to your favorite music with high quality sound from Beats Audio™. The HP TouchPad is available in black and has HP webOS operating system. It has an efficient 9.7-inch XGA capacitive, multi-touch screen with a vibrant 18-bit color, 1024x768 resolution display. There is a frontfacing 1.3-megapixel webcam for live video calling. For wireless access this unit has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with WPA, WPA2, WEP, 802.1X authentication; and Bluetooth® wireless technology 2.1 + EDR with A2DP stereo Bluetooth support. Battery power is advertised as a rechargeable 6300 mAh (typical) battery, and a charger/micro USB connector with USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connector. The HP Touchpad processor sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon dualCPU APQ8060 at 1.2GHz. The dimensions of this unit are as follows, Width: 240mm (9.45 inches), Height: 190mm (7.48 inches), Thickness: 13.7mm (0.54 inches). This should prove to be compact and portable. The weight is 1.6 pounds. This unit is also compatible with Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2GHz. Overall these specs seem well proportioned to the unit, but I somehow get that nagging too-goodto-be-true gut feeling. Is this all just glitz and glammour? Instinctively I have adopted a wait and see attitude, and this summer when the product lands on my doorstep and the fringe and wrapping
comes off, I will truly submit my thumbs up or thumbs down opinion. Oh yea, and it only comes in black.
