St Lucia Trumpeter newsletter winter ediiton

Dear readers, One can feel winter setting in. The days are growing shorter and the sunsets are even more spectacular. We had Hippos grazing just outside our studio lawn the other night, the bush-babies barking and the owls hooting. The mornings are a cacophony of Trumpeter hornbills. Since I bought The Trumpter I have had the pleasure of being invited on Hippo and croc tours, night drives, guided walks to name a few. If you are new or even if you think you’ve done it all already, I highly recommend you do it again. At the very least, treat yourself to regular meanders through the iSimagaliso Wetland parks, it truly is a ‘marvel’. Our winter edition sports a new crossword competition, and a host of interesting articles sent in by our community and sponsors. A huge thank you to all who have contributed and shown support. We’re still breaking our back to make ends meet, but we love this work. With your continued contributions and support, we’ll do our best to showcase this region in all it’s glory, and the spirit of a truly unique community.
