Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, The Lord’s peace be with you. Thank you for your generous support over the past year to the fund raising for the Church Renovation and the installation of lift. The fund collected up to date HK dollars 3,246,141.00. The works of the installation of lift started on January 3, 2011 and we expect the whole task would be accomplished by August 3, 2011. It will be wonderful that we will all be able to enjoy the facility. It is regretted that there is some inconvenience caused during the installation. The budget of $4,000,000 for renovation and installation of lift was underestimated due to the following factors:1. Cost of Lift Foundation Strengthening was not included; 2. The Lift exit to each floor was increased from 4 to 5; 3. Inflation of construction materials to a great extent. ( For more details, please, refer to the Parish Newsletter of February 2011). In this respect, the total cost of the project has gone up to $6,700,000. As such, we are hereby appealing to your continuous generosity again to finance the project. “A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water.” (Proverbs 11:25” “……for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). You are welcome to give your donation in person to the secretary office of the parish, or put the cash donation in the collection box.
