13TH KANDERSTEG BELLE EPOQUE WEEK 22–29 JANUARY 2023

Belle Epoque. La belle epoch (the beautiful age) refers broadly to the years between 1884 and 1914. Kandersteg turns the clock back to this era each year at the end of January. Immerse yourself in sophisticated etiquette, elegant clothes, and original winter sports. Stroll along wintery pavements and be received in businesses and restaurants by appropriately dressed employees. Admire transformed shop façades reminiscent of the good old days.

2023 BELLE EPOQUE WEEK WILL TAKE PLACE UNDER THE HEADING "FASHION AND STYLE".

Discover lots of fascinating facts about the fashion, style and hairstyles of this bygone era at various locations around town. As usual, this much-loved event will officially start at Bahnhofmatte. Visitors wearing period costume are welcome to join the grand promenade without pre-registration.
