At the centre of the optic are blue LED’s, the wave length of which is individually measured as the performance of all LED chips vary. A tailored phosphor coated film is then selected for each module to accurately correct it to the required colour temperature. This guarantees the colour consistency to 2 MacAdam Ellipses.

This unique Corrective Cold Phosphor Technology ensures the temperature on the phosphor coated sapphire crystal glass remains low preventing lumen depreciation and colour shift throughout its extended life.

Thermal management enables advanced phosphor options to create True Colour Elite CRI 98.

CONTROL GEAR Drivers and Dimmers LED drivers are self-contained power supplies that have outputs matched to the electrical characteristics of the LED modules. Drivers are current regulated and offer a constant current over a range of voltages. Dimming provides flexibility to the ambiance and additional energy saving.

Alpha LED products are supplied with a constant current driver guaranteed for 5 years.

Mains Dimming Systems Leading Edge /DL or Trailing Edge /DT Luminaires can be dimmed by adjusting the incoming power supply. Leading edge and trailing edge dimming systems control the power delivery to the LED in slightly different ways. All luminaires and controllers on a mains controlled circuit must use the same dimming system.

For existing installations, ensure luminaires match the existing dimming protocol. We provide solutions for either Leading Edge or Trailing Edge mains dimming systems.

For new Installations, whether Leading Edge or Trailing Edge dimming is selected, all components on the lighting circuit must be compatible.

Analogue driver /DA This form of dimming requires a polar two wire bus system (+/-) enabling a rotary/slider dimmer to adjust the light output. 1 volt at the control point represents the minimum lamp brightness and 10 volts represents the maximum.

DALI /DD Digital Addressable Lighting Interface – Digitally addressing each individual device DALI protocol provides total flexibility when controlling a lighting system. Up to 64 devices can be controlled on a localised circuit more can be controlled with the introduction of a building management system.

DSI /DS / DMX /DX Specialised digital dimming system - Available by special order.

AlphaLED offer a 3 hour maintained conversion pack with ballast lumen factors of up to 39% lumen factor. This enables AlphaLED to be mounted where tall ceilings are within buildings and still comply with emergency regulations.

These products are supplied with remote emergency control boxes or articulated socks, small enough to be slotted through the ceiling cut outs.

Maintained emergency /M3 Where the same light source is utilised in standard and emergency modes. In Standard mode the light source is powered from the switched mains supply, with mains failure it switches to emergency mode powered from its integral battery.

Self test emergency /ST The self test emergency lighting system has an in-built micro processor to carry out a pre programmed testing regime independent of each other.

Luminaire status and test results are provided using a bi-colour LED indicator.
