Dorr returns to Albuquerque after working as executive director of the El Paso County Bar Association in Colorado Springs. Earlier in her career, Dorr was membership director for Girl Scouts of the USA, based in Albuquerque and worked throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Dorr’s family is multi-generational New Mexican, and her mother is from Corrales, currently living in Scotland. While visiting her mother, Dorr visited the Charles Rennie Mackintosh museum in Glasgow. “I am really excited about this exhibition, and seeing Mackintosh through the eyes of a New Mexican audience,” Dorr says.

As the Director of Donor Impact, Dorr plans to work on a strategic two-year plan, with comprehensive fundraising goals, corporate sponsorship, planned giving, and major gifts to help fund the Museum’s programs and exhibitions. “My goal is to look creatively at the many ways that people support the work of the Museum. We are looking at where we have succeeded in the past and the opportunities to grow our donor base going forward,” Dorr says. “The Museum has done such an amazing job showcasing local, national, and international artists,” she says. “I’m thrilled to be a part of that. If you’re interested in finding out how you can support our local artists or traveling exhibits, there are many opportunities at all giving levels. Just give me a call!” Kristi can be reached at kdorr@ albuquerquemuseumfoundation.org or 505.677.8489.
